i tell you what, we had a week with a decent flow of good news during “kcmn w/e&e” but in the end, it all seems to have been completely overshadowed by the economy, again, and the prospect of layoffs here at home and across the nation. more and more when we’re talking to people, it’s hard to find anyone who isn’t at least somewhat concerned about their job security. so…
…let’s lighten the mood. good news highlight of the week (economy): perhaps umb having great earnings in Q4. proof that perhaps we really are a little more insulated from the economic mess than other areas?

money-saving tip for this weekend: go to aldi and get their pizza kit. grab some pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and real parmesean and enjoy the game with an almost homemade pizza. otherwise, pizza bella or minsky’s on main (jumbo combo). ‘nuf said.
